Carol-Ann Benn
Prof Carol-Ann Benn is a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa with a special interest in Breast Disease. Her capacity as Head of the Helen Joseph Breast Care Clinic at Helen Joseph Hospital proves her long career and her commitment to clinical excellence in this field of medical speciality. Prof Benn offers service to society and the greater medical community, both local and international, through her contributions, published and presented, and she is recognized internationally as a leader in Breast Disease. As a Professor in the Department of Surgery at WITS University, she contributes towards the education of healthcare professionals.
Prof Benn is a founding member of the Breast Health Foundation and has established various Breast Health Care forums and outreach programs. She sits on numerous Medical Boards and Health Care Committees. Prof Benn has paved the way in South Africa for the improvement of women’s health care; and uplifting of women in society; and has opened channels for public awareness of breast health. Numerous awards testify to her esteemed position in the Medical field and in South African society.
Dr. Elna Rudolph
My Sexual Health
Dr Elna Rudolph is the founder and clinical head of My Sexual Health; www.SexologyCourses.com and The Sexology Training Club – bridging the gap in Sexology Training around the globe.
She is currently serving as the President of the World Association for Sexual Health. She is only the second woman and the first person from Africa to hold this title.
Dr Elna Rudolph was the first doctor in South Africa to obtain a Higher Diploma in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine through the Colleges of Medicine in South Africa and obtained a Master’s Degree in Sexual Health through the University of Sydney, Australia. She became one of the first Fellows of the European Committee for Sexual Medicine – the highest attainable, internationally recognized qualification in Sexual Medicine.
Dr Elna Rudolph is an Executive Board Member and Director of the South African Sexual Health Association (SASHA).
Dr Rudolph’s work has been published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine (JSM) of which she is also a reviewer. She has written various chapters in textbooks and has been invited to speak at multiple national and international meetings.
Dr Rudolph became well-known in South Africa for her weekly insert on the Minki TV show in 2020 and 2021. From July 2022, she is hosting her own TV show, “Uit die Slaapkamer” on Via, DSTV Channel 147, with Neels van Jaarsveld, Bianca La Grange and Adri Viviers.
She is a wife and mother to two toddler daughters and lives close to her extended family in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
